Nicole Scherzinger puts on a brave face with cheery display at X Factor auditions... but her slimmer frame hints at her heartbreak
She is said to be heartbroken and devastated following her split from Lewis Hamilton.
But Nicole Scherzinger did her utmost to put on a brave face as she arrived for the X Factor auditions in Cardiff, Wales, on Wednesday, in her first public appearance since the relationship breakdown.
Nicole was seen leading the fans outside the auditions venue in a sing-song, beaming from ear-to-ear as she conducted the crowd.

However, despite Nicole's overt display of joviality, her slender frame hinted at the pain Nicole has been feeling since the end of her romance with Formula 1 driver Lewis.
Nicole, who was already slender to begin with, appears to have lost a noticeable amount of weight since the split.
The 35-year-old star wore a red trouser suit with a white vest top, pulled up at the waist to display her flat stomach.
And while the suit appeared to be in the boyfriend style, in that it is baggier than a usual suit, the two-piece appeared to be hanging off Nicole's incredibly slim frame.
Nicole chatted to fans ahead of the auditions, but kept quiet when she was asked about her split from Lewis.
While she was more than happy to discuss other topics, Nicole quickly changed gear when Lewis was mentioned.
Inside the hotel, Nicole was seen celebrating her recent birthday, which fell on June 29th, with balloons, presents, cards and a giant Maltesers cake.
While Nicole's split from Lewis, 32, was only revealed this week, it is believed that the couple called time on their relationship nearly a month ago.
A source told Mail Online of the split: 'Nicole is just so heartbroken and completely devastated.'
The split was particularly painful for Nicole given that Lewis, 28, had hinted he was thinking of proposing in an interview just a few weeks ago.
He had said: 'We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.'
But it was the pair's incredible busy work schedules which led to their split, with their various commitments meaning they didn't see each other as much as they wanted.
Images of the former couple on holiday in Capri, Italy, at the end of May, showed them looking awkward and distant.
Nicole and Lewis met at the European Music Awards in Munich in November 2007, before going public at the Monaco Grand Prix six months later.
In July 2011 there was unconfirmed speculation the couple had got engaged.
The couple briefly split in January 2010 when they had been together for 20 months, before later reconciling.
Nicole and Lewis then split again in late 2011, before giving their relationship another go in early 2012.
